Ulaanbaatar
/MONTSAME/. Under the auspices of the President of Mongolia, the national
forum, ‘Increasing the participation of women in economic development’ is being
organized at State House, involving over 800 representatives from the
capital, 21 aimags, civil society, the private sector, and international
organizations.

The
forum touches on women’s participation in economic development, international
experience, gender-sensitive financial sector, development of responsible
business organizations, employment, and human resources. As a result,
recommendations on measures to be taken in the near term to increase women’s
employment and economic participation will be delivered to the relevant
organizations.

The
Office of the President, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the
National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the International Women’s Federation
of Commerce and Industry, and the Asia Foundation are co-organizing the forum.
