State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs N.Ankhbayar held an online meeting with Assistant Foreign Minister of China Wu Jianghao on February 5, exchanging views on bilateral ties and mutually interested matters on regional and international cooperation.
Both the State Secretary and the Assistant Foreign Minister expressed their satisfaction with active relations between Mongolia and China, realizing high level reciprocal visits, ensuring stability of main cooperation mechanisms, continuing trade and economic cooperation relatively active even in the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and collaborating effectively in directions of preventing and curbing the COVID-19 spread.
While expressing to make efforts in intensifying and enriching bilateral cooperation with new content further, the parties talked over cooperation directions in which more attention would be attached in 2021.
They agreed to organize high-level reciprocal visits, meetings of cooperation mechanisms and consultative meetings between the two Foreign Ministries in compliance with the pandemic situation.
Furthermore, the sides affirmed to pay more attention further on ongoing works targeted to reviving trade and economic cooperation, keeping mining product export stable, increasing its volume and supporting trade of non-mining products such as agricultural products.
Also the Chinese side promised to positively resolve proposals made by Mongolian side and take relevant measures on increasing export of mining product through Gashuunsukhait-Gantsmod, Shiveekhuren-Sekhee border crossing points, lifting the ban on meat export from western region of Mongolia and raising export volume of meat and meat products being made through Zamiin Uud-Erlian border checkpoints.
